10.00am kick off, with a new kit ,and the game started brilliant for us ,with some good link up play between the lads then finishing with Harry netting a great opening goal. It wasn't long after that the pilgrims scored to level the game. The lads heads did go down briefly but they soon all got back down to business and were playing some really nice football, people were talking to one another, encouraging each other, really good team play and the first time they had done this over the last few games. The game stayed at 1-1 for a good while, and we came close several times, but it was the pilgrims who took the lead 2-1 !, heads did drop again, but again everyone picked themselves up and carried on battling. Paignton Pilgrims then had a good run of about 5 minutes where they netted another two making it 4-1 to them! but nevertheless our boys kept battling till the final whistle and never gave up, some really good individual performances on the day from our boys, but the best thing was the team effort as a unit.
M.O.T.M - Jack Smith
Some of the best football we have seen him play so far this season, a good all round game, well done Jack !

21/9/2008 Dawlish
It couldn't have been better conditions at Dawlish, the sun was shining and there was a nice breeze to keep the lads cool. The game started with us kicking downfield on Dawlish's hill of a pitch, same as the past few weeks just the bare seven players for us ! Dawlish were the first to score but we scored soon after with a huge bouncing bomb shot from owen......from his own half !, dawlish took the lead again after some good team play, but once again we pulled it back with a good goal from harry. Some really good efforts and opportunities came from both teams straight after but Dawlish turned their efforts into goals. playing up field in the second half was a struggle, the team looked unbalanced as players were switching positions at will and Dawlish made the most of this dominating the posession, and having several near misses. we had the odd break up field here and there, and as usual when we did everything looked good, but enevitably the Dawlish attacks brought success for them and they netted a couple more, the final scoreline was 7-2 but it could have been more, if it wasn't for some good defending and some outstanding saves from James.
M.O.T.M - James Phillips
Scoreline did not reflect the good game that James had, some magnificent saves on the day !

The first home game of the season didn't really get off to the flyer we were all hoping for, we started with the bare seven players whilst our opponents had an abundance of substitutes, and in the heat of the sunny day this was always going to be a main factor against us.We started very well, and there were some good chances that we came close with, but it was Buckland Athletic who scored first, and with Harry Howell being sidelined soon after with a nasty eye injury, the team were now down to six players and missing a key striker ! Buckland used this advantage well, and notched up a couple more ,Harry bravely came back on to make it back to seven players, but that was short-lived as Owen Hodge was sidelined after a couple of rash challenges, putting the team back to six again! The boys battled on bravely, but with some of them playing out of position and the heat taking it's toll on them, Buckland netted another, to seal and finish the game. All in all a very good effort by the boys and some really good play at times, it's just a shame that we didn't have the fresh legs to come on, by way of substitutes !
M.O.T.M - Ryan Munslow
Played a fantastic game in various positions, never let his head go down, and battled on untill the final whistle, well done Ryan !

On a freezing cold, miserable day in wind swept Teignmouth, a small squad of players travelled to play Broadmeadow. Debuts for twins Matthew and Luke Smith who ran themselves ragged and played an important part in gaining the result. Ryan Munslow went in goal and had a bit of a blinder with some great saves and excellent distribution. Harry was as tricky as ever and helped set up the one goal and scored the other. Owen played well for about 10 minutes but was under dressed for the occasion and by the start of the second half looked more like an ice sculpture than a football player and it prevented him from taking any chance that came his way. That led to the frustration coming out again and after taking the legs away from one of the Broadmeadow players, he is very lucky not to have been sent off, some harsh lessons to be learned. All in all though, a good performance considering the conditions.

What a difference from the last game lads, I had to raise my voice but it worked and you played as a team. James had another excellent game in goal, who saved a one-on-one in the last few seconds of the game to earn a deserved point. Ryan and Alfie were strong as ever in defence, well done you two. William Smith in midfield kept things tight with help from under 9s player Kieran Dowsing. Harry and Owen helped to keep things tight in the middle of the park and all in all a very good performance and spirit. Well done lads.

I had some strong words the players about their attitudes with too much moaning and complaining in training. As a result the team responded well in the first half, played as a team but when we went down the moaning crept in again. Owen and Alfie have to sort their frustration and channel the aggression toward the ball and not the opposition players. On the good side there was good talking and we passed the ball well. James was very good again in goal, two others Aiden Sparks played well and Man of the Match Ryan Munslow was exceptional.

First game was a cup match against Brixham United. First half went off well going 1-0 up 5 mins before half time with good communication The second half started and a few players forgot which way we were playing and we conceded 2 quick goals within 2 mins of the restart. The players heads went down and the discipline went. To many hands on heads and hands in pockets. Things will get better if we fight each game to the end. Generally we had a good game bar a two min spell. James Phillips was superb in goal.
